Why Power Keywords Are Central To Successful Promotion

Why Homing In On Niche Keywords Produces Instant Results

Here is a practical illustration from my own experience.

I spent a considerable amount of time researching before targeting niche keywords and keyword phrases for this particular website but the effort was worthwhile because it brought me instant results in that the spiders loved what they saw and ranked it accordingly: No.1 out of 1.9 billion pages on Yahoo! (yes, 1,900,000,000) plus eight top ten rankings on the other major search engines. What I have achieved, so too will you for your own small business site if you follow to the instructions in this chapter – and in Chapter 16 to follow ...

How Keyword Power Impacts On Sales

Because keyword power is the catalyst that directs visitors to your website, it follows that attention to keyword selection is crucial if you are to attract sales for the end product of your business idea. When people find you and your niche idea on the search engines they are invariably looking for something for nothing and if you provide them with freebies in the form of useful articles, tools, tips and techniques (but not too much or you’ll give the store away) they will be all the more amenable to purchasing your product or service.

They won’t all rush to buy, so if sales are slow to begin with, take heart, you are on track with your niche idea. Persist and the flow of transactions will gradually increase.

Think about this: According to search engine statistics an average of 121,347 people are searching on the internet every day for ‘business to business’ information.

Think, too, about this ...

Many of these same people will be among your visitors who will find you because they want to do what they think you do: operate a business to business service. Okay, so you don’t, so what? Many of them will still be prospects for your specific proposition.

In the light of this, it is sound practice to include two or more keywords aimed at these highly-targeted prospects. They will be seeking free information, so give them what they want for free and a percentage of them will give you a sale for your small business niche product or service.

Free Software To Assist You In Detecting Power Keywords

Here is the tool I use in my own searches for powerful niche keywords and it comes complete with easy-to-understand instructions. Basically, what you do is feed in a niche keyword and the software will not only tell you how many people have searched for the term during the previous four weeks but also provide a detailed list of similar keywords and a precise indication of their popularity.
